這首歌很棒很棒，而且歌詞也很有意思，有人說它像是《愛麗絲境中奇緣（Through the Looking Glass）》的隱喻。愛麗絲她進入了鏡中世界後，發現那裡的一切竟然都和現實完全相反，經過了一連串的歷險之後，她當上了鏡中世界的女王，可是漸漸地她發現這不是自己所要的生活，最後在用餐之中失控了，用力的拉起桌巾，讓桌上的餐盤和食物都摔在了地上，跑回了現實的世界。

Florence在MV中也是和人們圍著放滿食物的大桌子，但不同的是在她掀起桌巾後，她被獻祭了。這首歌是在唱片公的壓力下所完成的，且她對這首作品也解釋：

". . . it became all about like ritual sacrifice and like who is the lamb and who is the knife. And i think it was just all about me about to jump into the limelight and being in the music industry stuff like that."

(...所有一切都變得像獻祭儀式般，如同這句歌詞who is the lamb and who is the knife。這首歌是關於我成為焦點中心和音樂公司的供品。)"

但她也說，其實這過程是很快樂的，在這樣的世界裡，你必須讓你原本(似兔子般)懦弱的心變成(像獅子那樣)勇敢。

Rabbit Heart的旋律讓人幾乎看不出來Miss Florence是個內心黑暗的人，前面提到"唱片公司"的壓力，其實是公司希望她能夠做一些鼓舞人心的樂曲，但是她在妥協的同時，曲調是令人眼睛一亮沒錯啦……但歌詞和MV中主角最後還是被獻祭掉了。("but then again once i started doing that the lyrics started getting dark again.")

註1：Midas, 希臘的一個國王，向酒神Dionysus要求他所碰到的一切都變成金子，酒神答應了。於是Midas所碰到的一切真的都成了黃金，包括他的愛人，甚至Midas觸碰的食物都變成黃金，最後Dionysus答應收回他的能力。在這裡故事呼應著所謂的禮物和犧牲。
